The 2ed International Symposium on Frontier in Materials Sciences and Engineering

This symposium will focus on the emerging development in the materials science and processing engineering.  The objective is to bring to the forefront those are critical to the advancement of the field and the benefits and limitations of various theories and approaches.  Another objective is to build connections for scientists and engineers in this field and explore opportunities for future collaborations.  Topics of interests include, but not limited to, fundamentals of phase transformation, microstructure formation, casting, welding, forging, cold-forming, powder processing of metals and ceramics, and polymer and composite processing. Participation to this symposium is by invitation only.

Tentative Schedule
Saturday, August 2nd: Registration Starting at 12:00 p.m. in Marriott Hotel
Sunday, August 3rd:  Registration and Reception on conference site, and welcome
Monday, August 4th: Technical Sessions, and Conference Dinner
Tuesday, August 5th: Technical Sessions and Conference Dinner
Wednesday, August 6th: Technical Sessions and Departure

The estimated registration fee of $900 (early registration) or $960 (on site) will include conference Proceedings.

Abstract Submission: March 31th, 2014
Formal Letters of Invitation:  April 31st, 2014
Full Paper Submission: June 30th, 2014
End of Early Registration Fee: June 30th, 2014

Cancellation and Refund Policy
In case of written cancellation before July 25, 2014 we will reimburse 50% of the paid conference fee.
The retained 50% covers incurred administrative and reservation expenses. For attendees who notify their cancellation after July 25, 2014 or will not attend the conference, a charge of 100% of the conference fee will be withheld.


The organizing committee cannot assume any responsibility for personal accidents, loss or damage to the private property of participants and accompanying persons, which may either occur during or arise from the conference. Participants should therefore take whatever steps they consider necessary as regards insurance.
